With the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP 26) coming to a close, another UK event is fast approaching. The IDUG EMEA 2021 Technical Conference is just around the corner.
This year’s IDUG EMEA conference was originally planned to take place in Edinburgh, the greenest city in the UK. Did you know that Edinburgh has more trees per head of population than any other UK city? The Scottish capital is home to around 130 parks with almost half the city (49.2%) classed as ‘green space’. The parks are considered the lungs of the city.
Sadly, IDUG EMEA attendees won’t be able to take advantage of the natural beauty or fresh air that Edinburgh has to offer. COVID-19 has scuppered plans again, making IDUG EMEA a virtual conference. On the bright side, attendees will be doing their bit to help save the planet by reducing air pollution. The postponed event will now be held on December 6-10, 2021 with all sessions accessible online.
